The Flash – S5 Ep12 – Memorabilia Review

Let me start by saying I think this episode was the best we’ve had so far this season! The gaps in the Nora mystery are filled and thankfully we can place our full trust in her once again. Barry’s plan to wake Grace up is in set into motion thanks to Sherloque bringing out the big guns in the form of his Memory Machine. They plan to go in together but the threat of seeing each other’s memories sends Nora into a panic. In true Nora style, she jumps in alone to find Grace and gets trapped. Looking for the … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep12 – Memorabilia Review

The Flash – S5 Ep11 – Seeing Red Review

In the words of Nora West-Allen, this episode was “super frigging schway”. Cicada is back and he’s in a BAD mood. Trying to end his current rampage, Team Flash interrupt his attack on Norvock and his pal. We previously saw Norvock as Amunet Black’s henchman and I must say it was great to have Mark Sweatman back on the show. We got to learn more about him in this episode and he’s not all bad. In fact I think he’s just craving some love. Things take a shock turn for the worse when Cicada picks Nora up and breaks her … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep11 – Seeing Red Review

The Flash – S5 Ep10 – The Spin Review

And we’re back in Central City following a mid season break, after that huge Elseworlds crossover spectacle. We’re thrown straight back to where we left off, with Nora meeting Eobard Thawne in 2049. Their dealings are perhaps a little less sinister than we all thought as it’s revealed that he in fact helped her travel back in time to meet her parents. However, their friendship seems in jeopardy seeing as she’s now pissed at him for killing her Grandparents in front of Barry and refuses to help him anymore as she can’t trust him. In the present day, Barry finds … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep10 – The Spin Review

The Flash – S5 Ep9 – Elseworlds Part 1 Review

Crisis on Earth-X was quite simply phenomenal television. All the trailers, posters and teasers from the cast for Elseworlds have looked set to top last year’s crossover, if that’s even possible. After watching part 1 I tweeted that my brain exploded, it was amazing. Actually the word amazing doesn’t even cover it. It’s total and utter geek heaven!!! Last week we caught a glimpse of John Wesley Shipp’s version of The Flash on Earth-90 in a bit of bother at the hands of The Monitor. This mysterious being has made his way to Earth-1 to pass on a book to … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep9 – Elseworlds Part 1 Review

The Flash – S5 Ep8 – What’s Past Is Prologue Review

A special episode this week as it’s the 100th episode of The Flash and just to add to the celebrations, it’s directed by Tom Cavanagh! As we know, 100 episodes of any tv show is quite a triumph so how did the fastest man on Earth celebrate this big achievement? With time travel of course!!! The pieces of the puzzle are falling into place now and Team Flash have gathered enough information on Cicada to know what makes him tick. They just need to find a way to separate him from his dagger. As Barry, Cisco and the others discuss … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep8 – What’s Past Is Prologue Review

The Flash – S5 Ep7 – O Come, All Ye Faithful Review

Oh come, all ye faithful to celebrate Thanksgiving with Team Flash, who are a little lacking on the joyful this week, thanks to Sherloque, but are always sure to be triumphant (yeah I think I’m hilarious). Thanksgiving is all about family and being thankful for what we have and that theme is fluent throughout the episode. Sherloque quenches the initial excitement about the festivities by pointing out that he has nothing to be thankful for, as well as how crappy Cisco and Caitlin’s lives have been recently. He does give us a fantastic one liner though when he insults Cisco … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep7 – O Come, All Ye Faithful Review

The Flash – S5 Ep6 – The Icicle Cometh Review

So far there’s been two main stories working through season 5 – the hunt for Cicada and the hunt for Caitlin’s Dad. Well one of those is about to reach its climax this week (sort of). Having hacked the satellites, Cisco and Barry have managed to locate Caitlin’s Dad all the way in the North Pole. The two lads take her to find him and lo and behold he’s there, waiting for his daughter to follow his clues. Straight away it’s pretty clear that something isn’t right and Cisco becomes very suspicious of Thomas. They bring him back to Star … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep6 – The Icicle Cometh Review

The Flash – S5 Ep5 – All Doll’d Up Review

Cisco is back!!!!!!! But there’s no hanging around as he’s straight in helping Ralph and Sherloque in their continuing mission to find Caitlin’s father. His powers aren’t fully working and although it’s actually causing him pain to use them, he is determined to help his friend too. There’s a really touching scene between Cisco and Caitlin after he goes into a seizure as a consequence of shrapnel from Cicada’s dagger affecting his vibing. He confides in her that he is fearful of not having a place within the team without his meta abilities. Caitlin can easily relate to this with … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep5 – All Doll’d Up Review

The Flash – S5 Ep4 – News Flash Review

This was a really insightful episode! Some gaps are filled for us and there’s a big surprise. We also learn that Iris is a terrible cook and while he might be the fastest man alive, Barry is awful at softball. Sherloque agrees to take Ralph’s lead in the next stage of their Cicada investigation. Ralph’s confidence in his detective abilities seems to be at rock bottom so he’s a man on a mission with something to prove. His nose leads them both to a warehouse where workers wear masks just like the one Cicada uses and although after talking to … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep4 – News Flash Review

The Flash – S5 Ep3 – The Death of Vibe Review

Pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together this week as we find out more about Cicada and what he’s trying to achieve. We also learn from a little walk around The Flash museum in 2032 that he’s played a big part in Barry’s future and while the likes of Supergirl, The Green Arrow and the Legends have all tried, he’s never been caught. Nora feels huge amounts of guilt but lets be honest … this is all her fault. Her coming to find her Dad has changed the timeline causing Cicada to surface much sooner than he should … Continue reading The Flash – S5 Ep3 – The Death of Vibe Review
